MediLUX LED Light Therapy?

Light Emitting Diodes or LED therapy utilises specific wavelengths of light to treat a wide range of dermal conditions and concerns such as; acne, ageing, sun damage and pigmentation. When the LED light enters the skin it travels via neurological pathways to specific cells in the skin to improve cellular performance by triggering a natural bio-stimulatory effect in the tissue.

Our state of the art LED light is top of the range, offering a variety of wavelength light settings which are customised and selected by our team of professionals depending on the specific concern being treated.

Red Light Therapy

The red light therapy produces a biochemical effect in cells that strengthen the mitochondria, of the skin cell. It penetrates 2 – 3 millimetres below the skin’s surface and has a wavelength of 633nm.

It promotes wound healing & repair making this the ideal treatment for post-laser recovery.
Stimulates collagen to help diminish fine lines & wrinkles.
Stimulation of slow healing wounds, (post-surgery scars, cuts, bruising, post-inflammatory pigment from acne legions etc.).
Improves hair growth in people with Androgenic Alopecia.
Reduces Psoriasis lesions.

Blue Light Therapy

The blue LED light has a wavelength of 420nm. The light penetrates 1 millimetre into the skin and has the deepest target to the epidermis.

Works to kill acne-causing Bacteria called P. Acnes which are found on the surface of the skin
No recovery time, & no adverse effects, making it a safe non-ablative way to treat acne
Works in conjunction with other modalities and treatments.

Yellow Light Therapy

Yellow light therapy has been scientifically shown to increase ATP production via the absorption of photons in the mitochondria. It penetrates 0.5 – 2mm into the skin with a wavelength of 590nm.

Ideal for inflamed skin conditions such as rosacea, dermatitis & flushing
Ideal for post-laser treatments & post injectables to minimise bruising
Deepest targeted light to reach the papillary dermis
Ideal to treat photoaged skin by stimulating the fibroblast cells, therefore increasing collagen, elastin and Hyaluronic Acid

Green Light Therapy

Green light wavelength range has a direct effect on pigment-producing melanocyte cells by reducing the amount of pigment or melanin that they produce. It has a wavelength of 520nm allowing for penetration deep enough to target the pigmentation producing cells.

The green LED light is ideal for treating skin pigmentation lesions such as solar lentigines, freckles, liver spots, and reddish/brown marks on the skin.

Infrared Light Therapy

The Infrared LED light Penetrates 5 – 10mm into the skin with a wavelength of 840nm, making it the deepest penetrating light in the range.

Infrared therapy releases chemical messenger molecules in the cell that emulate wound healing responses in the skin
