Have you been dreaming of having a perfectly symmetrical nose to complement and enhance the beauty of your face? You may have considered rhinoplasty, but if you’re after amazing results without the scalpel’s touch, then we need to fill you in on the latest craze in the cosmetic industry – non-surgical rhinoplasty.

We know you might have a few questions like, “is non-surgical rhinoplasty better?”, “how long does non-surgical rhinoplasty last?” and “what’s the difference between nose fillers and surgery?”. We’re here to break it down to ensure that you’re aware of what both of these procedures involve, as well as their unique pros and cons.

The basics: non-surgical rhinoplasty vs surgical rhinoplasty

Non-surgical rhinoplasty or a ‘non-surgical nose job’, is a non-invasive alternative to surgical rhinoplasty. It involves injecting dermal fillers into the nose in order to reshape and change its appearance. to reshape the nose. While it is less invasive than surgery, it is still a procedure that should only be performed by experienced and qualified professionals, like us!

With non-surgical rhinoplasty, dermal fillers are injected into specific areas to fill in irregularities of the nose using a fine needle, and topical numbing cream is applied to minimise pain from the procedure.

On the other hand, rhinoplasty is a complex type of cosmetic surgery that’s used to reshape, resize or reconstruct the nose.  Apart from changing the shape of the nose, it is also used for correcting nose issues including injuries and breathing problems. Rhinoplasty can be performed with an open or closed approach – both involving incisions being made to the nose. As this is a more invasive procedure, there are more risks involved and this surgery should only be performed by a qualified and proven plastic surgeon.

Downtime

Non-surgical rhinoplasty: If you’re worried about there being significant downtime after getting a non-surgical nose job, fear not, as downtime is minimal! One of the reasons that non-surgical rhinoplasty continues to be popular today is that most people will be able to go back to work and do regular activities straight after the injections. They only take 15-30 minutes, so you won’t need to worry about missing that important function or outing!

Rhinoplasty: If you get rhinoplasty surgery, expect a downtime of approximately 1-2 weeks before you can get back to your daily activities, but you’ll need around a year before you are fully healed. This includes all swelling going away and your nose getting into the desired shape.

Results

Non-surgical rhinoplasty: This can be a great option for addressing everything from smaller bumps to lifting and sculpting the nose’s shape. You’ll get results that last anywhere between 6-18 months, and in some cases even longer!

Since the results aren’t permanent, nose filler can easily be dissolved using hyaluronidase.

You will need to follow your surgeon’s post-operative care diligently and attend all follow-up appointments.

What else should you know?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty: If your nose is severely crooked or damaged, a non-surgical nose job may not be suitable. Also, the results of your non-surgical nose job may be affected if you wear glasses.
