Anti Wrinkle Injections

Botulinum toxin, also known as “Anti wrinkle” injections, is a neurotoxic protein that can be injected in areas such as the frontalis (forehead), glabella (frown), and orbicularis oculi (crow’s feet) to temporarily reduce movement in treated areas. Anti wrinkle injections result in a smoother and more youthful appearance lasting up to 3-5 months.

Anti wrinkle injections typically take approximately 5-7 days following treatment for noticeable effects and require a full 2 weeks until final results become visible. Wrinkle-reducing treatments require a prescription prescribed by our in-clinic Doctor, and they will be a part of your personalised consultation with your Cosmetic Nurse, once your individual recommended dosage is discussed.

Anti wrinkle injections are not suitable for you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have any current medical conditions then these must be disclosed during your consultation to ensure that you are not contraindicated from treatment.

Anti Wrinkle injections can be used for Masseter hypertrophy (facial slimming). The masseter is a powerful muscle on the side of your face that you can feel when you clench your teeth.

Excessive clenching and grinding of the teeth can enlarge this muscle. Just like all muscles in the body, the more they are used, the larger they can appear. By injecting this muscle with anti wrinkle it weakens the bulk of the muscle which can significantly reduce its size. This, however, does not compromise the use of the muscle, resulting in a smaller lower face appearance while helping with reducing teeth grinding/clenching.

Hyperhidrosis also known as the sweat block treatment, involves injecting areas such as the underarms, hands, feet, or chest with Botulinum toxin to temporarily ‘block’ the sweat glands from producing sweat in treated areas. It’s perfect for those who sweat excessively which can be both embarrassing and uncomfortable. With only one treatment you will be left ‘sweat-free’ for 3-6 months!
